Accidental Poetry - Freedom

Freedom to wear new or old. Freedom to update phone or not. Freedom to live in a simple home or not. Freedom to live simple life or not. It is the freedom of choice that makes life better. https://www.facebook.com/Zaidi.sadia/posts/10158728942517667

Safe Path - translation of a poem attributed to Imam Hussain

Safe Path  - translation of a poem by Imam Hussain Perform only those tasks which will take you towards freedom and salvation Those tasks that you anticipate will help you achieve salvation with great pace and that will help you and rescue you from the austerities of the Day of Judgment Purifying your soul of sins; doing good deeds to believers and having good intentions for relatives and those around you Only these things can help you receive God’s mercy If you think of doing good deeds all the time, salvation is yours. Otherwise you will have no sanctuary. Abdullah Ar-razi'i - Ali Asghar

When all of the companions, friends and male family members but one (Imam Zain al Abideeen) were martyred, the camp of Imam hussain parched and the young children crying of thirst, Imam hussain made a call of "hal min nasirin yansuruna, hal min mugheeso yugheesuna" Is there a supporter who'd support us? Is there a helper who'd help us? A cry from the tent of Bibi Rabab leads Imam hussain to her tent. She says Abdullah Al razi Ali Asghar has fallen from the bed with your call. Imam Hussain looks at him; he is parched and weak, having gone so much time without water. Imam hussain takes Ali Asghar covered under his mantle against the scorching sun. He takes Ali Asghar to the battle ground and asks the enemy forces whatever quarrel they may have with Imam Hussain, what issue did they have with the 6 months old Ali Asghar? At least give him some water. Imam Hussain even lays Ali Asghar on the ground saying if you think that I may drink on his pretext. No one from the Yazee

An analysis on existence of conspiracy theories

1) There is a non-zero probability of existence of one or more grand conspiracies. 2) The control of information and thus narrative defining power is getting more and more centralized so possibility of nefarious groups to gain more and more control is also increasing. 3) A general grand narrative has a self-preserving characteristic that the capability of a person to analyze and verify is generally proportional to the person's ability to benefit from such a narrative. 4) Specialization of knowledge increases the possibility of a conspiracy going undetected by the vast majority of people. 5) The only method available to a common person is to analyze for any inconsistencies or gaps in a narrative. Generally the fringe narratives have larger gaps or inconsistencies, though the mainstream normative authoritative narratives are also not devoid of them. 6) Analysis capability (Access to information, freedom of thought, opportunity) is probably normally distributed and generally a pe

Do APIs have inventive value?

Does this mean IBM will be suing Oracle? and would Oracle go against Microsoft as well?  This is an interesting problem, though. Do APIs have non-zero inventive value? I would certainly say so, yes. In my opinion JAVA's popularity and adoption had a lot to do with the the very well thought of API of JDK (at least most of it). I know, I have used other APIs that lack consistency and thought process and that troubles my core!  Now, the question could be whether SUN put this in public domain or not. Apparently so; JDK v1.0 was release in 1996 android v1.0 was released in 2008, and even before that Microsoft had (almost) copied Java API to .NET platform (The most glaring change they did was StringBuilder from StringBuffer!). SUN did not go after Microsoft, and SUN did not go after Google.  In my opinion, APIs should be protected by copyright. But I'd say from now on. I'd not apply this retroactively. I'd want copyright laws need to be amended, so that any vendor
